Where it all started...

When i got my Canon G11, i started to play around and experiment with it. Obviously, the camera functions were alien to me even after reading the manual. Yes, i did know how to work them but what were those particular functions for? When should i use them? How can i get the most out of them? Those questions remained unanswered until one day, while i was reading this camera magazine on long exposure shooting, i finally understood what aperture and shutter speed were for and their potential to create such extraordinary photos. Till this day, long and short exposure shooting are my favourite types of photography. Photos in the camera magazine illustrated the power and beauty of the exposure shooting. Completely inspired, i was dying to try it out. And these were the result...

(These photos were taken by using a slow shutter speed and the light from my phone's screen and keypad.)

When i saw the first shot, i was completely amazed and excited. At the same time, proud of what i did and had the urge to keep on trying. This was my very first time doing such photography...
